Voice coaching boost for Unisa Radio

urIn its on-going quest to improve and develop the skills of its broadcasters and presenters, Unisa Radio approached The Voice Clinic for assistance in improving on-air staff’s pronunciation, clarity of speech, resonance and pitch variety. The Voice Clinic was founded by Monique Harrisburg at the tender age of 23, after she identified a niche for specialised communication skills and training programmes. Since then she and the company have been at the forefront in the business of voice management. Tali Munzhedzi, deputy station manager, says that the agreement signed with the company entails a trade exchange. ‘In exchange for The Voice Clinic’s expertise in terms of voice coaching, the company will be given the opportunity to promote its services among the Unisa community,’ says Munzhedzi. ‘Workshops have been scheduled for the next eight months, and I am confident that our broadcasters will be among the best in the country at the end of this period.’ Commented presenter Tshebeletso Leshilo: ‘I think it’s very important to have these workshops as most of us require the best voice to go on air.’
